Dental school interviews are holistic, looking beyond academic prowess to the individual behind the transcripts. 30-40% acceptance rate follows the interviews, with dental schools carefully considering both DAT scores and CGPA.

How Long Does it Take to Hear Back from Dental Schools? Dental schools begin sending acceptance letters in early December. You should have a final decision from your school by spring at the latest, with some exceptions for waitlisted students.

In general, somewhere between 25-50% of interviewees are accepted to any given institution. We recommend researching the acceptance rates at the schools you apply to so you can gauge how competitive the process will be compared to other schools.
